We collect your location data solely to find nearby restaurants and venues that match your preferences. Your location is sent securely to our search providers and is never stored on our servers, sold, or shared with third parties.
Email addresses collected through our waitlist are used only to notify you about Rou updates and launches. We will never sell your email or share it with third parties.
All your preference data — including your outing history, ratings, and learned taste preferences — is stored locally on your device using your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to create a Rou account in the future.
Rou is powered by the Yelp Fusion API for restaurant data. Please review Yelp's Privacy Policy.
We use the Google Places API for location search. Please review Google's Privacy Policy.
California residents (CCPA): You have the right to know what personal information we collect, request its deletion, and opt out of its sale. We do not sell personal information.
